My name is Deshawn. My journey has been defined by adversity — navigating childhood trauma, adolescent hardship, and an education system that struggled to recognise potential in a dyslexic student with ambition.
Sport became structure. Discipline. Direction. As a young athlete, the path ahead once felt defined, until life shifted it.
University followed — not as an easy step, but as a necessary one. A commitment to progression in the face of uncertainty, and a decision to keep moving forward when the outcome was unclear.
OBSYRN is the outcome of that journey. More than a brand, it represents independence, stability, and ownership. It is the transition from surviving to building — from potential to legacy.
Why Women's Activewear?
Someone close to me. That's the honest answer.
She spends a fortune on the usual activewear brands because she deserves to feel good when she moves. But premium shouldn't mean unaffordable. And beyond the price tag, she deserves more than just a product. She lives with depression, anxiety, and PMDD. Some days, getting dressed and getting moving is an act of courage.
I wanted to build a brand that meets women exactly where they are — whether that's crushing a PB or just getting off the sofa. A brand that makes you feel sexy, comfortable, and seen. A brand that pulls you out of a slump just by putting it on.
